Lesa has been a registered nurse for over 20 years with experience of working in a hospice as well as a hospital and a residential home. Her most recent role is lecturering within the health and social care department at UCM for the last 6 years. Lesa is very keen to see best practice implemented within the home care sector as this is what she teaches students to ensure quality provision of care in health and social care settings. Lesa has witnessed the benefits of homecare at a personal level, with a close family member receiving home care services due to illness.
Hilary has worked in the Childcare sector and has been a lecturer in Health and Social care for 9 years. She has had experience of looking after elderly people with dementia which included her own grandparents. This experience has been beneficial in shaping the quality of the services that she would like to deliver to the service users. In addition to this Hilary has set up a small nursery setting for parents and babies within her current role. Hilary is a firm believer in good training and leadership.
